Quality Control Supervisor

The Quality Control Supervisor helps his manager in controlling the quality of audit files (incl. notices to readers), in interpreting and sharing professional standards, and in managing technical training.

Responsibilities

Monitoring and Corrective Actions:

  • Ensure that the methodology and rules of the Quality Assurance Manual are applied in a systematic and standard way throughout the firm.
  • Participate in the identification of situations where standards are not respected. Participate in the corrective process.

Review and Advice:

  • Master financial information and audit standards. Act as a resource person to partners, clients, and employees.
  • Participate in quality control by reviewing files and financial statements per standards.
  • Participate in all interventions to reduce risks and propose other options to manager.
  • Produce appropriate researches to answer questions and provide appropriate solutions.

Rules Updates:

  • Participate in working tools updates (Quality Assurance Manual, software, forms).
  • Participate in the sharing of financial information and audit standards in a timely manner.

Professional Development:

  • Participate in the identification of technical training needs.
  • Help with the registration for Ordre des CPA du Québec courses.
  • Participate in the appraisal of various training methodologies (internal, external, other). Participate in training content development and act as trainer as needed.
  • Fulfill the requirements of Ordre des CPA du Québec mentor member. All related tasks.

Requirement

  • 4-5 years of experience in audit.
  • 1 year experience in quality control
  • CPA-Auditor title (CA, CGA).

Language and Technical Knowledge

  • Advanced French and English.
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Advanced knowledge of CaseWare/View, Taxprep, and DtMax.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial information and audit standards.
  • In-depth tax knowledge
