Senior Auditor

The Senior Auditor  has acquired a significant audit experience. He carries out more complex engagements and is fully responsible for some engagements and clients’ relations. He is also able to coach more junior auditors.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the person in charge of audit engagements. Carry out the most complex sections and produce a full file.
  • Identify risk factors and participate in the planning/execution of engagements.
  • Supervise and perform various procedures related to interim audit and cut-off.
  • Prepare, carry out, and revise assigned review engagements autonomously.
  • Act as a resource person to more junior auditors (answer their questions, review their work, and maximize their opportunities to acquire practical              skills).
  • Manage engagements and review sections/files.
  • Review and file tax returns for individuals (T1), corporations (T2), and trusts (T3).
  • Communicate with clients, get their information, and answer their questions.
  • Communicate with governmental agencies.
  • Review assigned review engagements.
  • Review and handle bookkeeping for companies, their portfolios, and their investment funds.
  • Fulfill the requirements of Ordre des CPA du Québec mentor member.
  • All related tasks.

Requirements

  • 4-5 years of experience in audit.
  • CPA-Auditor title (CA, CGA)

Language and Technical Knowledge

  • Advanced French and English.
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Advanced knowledge of CaseWare/View, Taxprep, and DtMax.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial information and audit standards.
  • In-depth tax knowledge
